The document analyzes and summarizes the layout of the front page and internal pages 2 and 3 of The North West Evening Mail newspaper. On the front page, the author drew boxes to map out where everything is placed. Internally, pages 2 and 3 contain 7 news stories, weather sections, an advertisement, and tabs noting the publication date and social media pages. Sections are color-coded by topic such as blue for sports.
3. Whilst analysing the layout of the
front page, I also decided to draw up
the layout using boxes and tried to
draw it to scale as well as possible.
Without the text and pictures, you can
get an even firmer idea of where
everything is placed on the front of
this particular newspaper
4. Internal pages (Page 2 and 3) analysis
On the first 2 internal pages of this
newspaper there are :
- 7 news stories
- Section covering weather for the
next 2 days and in various countries
- Section describing what subject
matter covers a selection of pages
- One advertisement
- Section telling reader that all their
‘local community news’ can be
found on page 26-27
Section describing

of pages. Each
section is colour
coded i.e. sport is
blue and news is
red.
- Section covering weather

both the date the newspaper was
