From the very start of the opening instrumental (original James bond theme tune) on the
first loud drumbeat accompanying the gun shot, the audience can straight away get a
feeling for the genre of the film-action adventure. Also, the tenor feeling that the
instrumental creates builds up a tension before descending slightly into a guitar solo upon
releasing the
film titles. Using

think as it
creates change
from the other
Bond films which creates more interest to the audience. These aspects of the first two
seconds indicate masculine connotations which help to enforce the idea that it is an action
themed film mirroring violence but also romantic aspects. In addition, the ascending and
then descending of the electric guitar make the feel more exciting and also could reflect the
‘up and down’ of the drama that is in the film.
To add to the masculinity of

with in a ‘queen’ playing card,
this creates suspicion
indicated by her red lips and

face; reflecting dangerous but passionate connotations.
The use of mise en scene in this title sequence such as the playing cards, red blood arrow
firing out of guns and silhouetted men helps to create an adventurous atmosphere and also
suggest that this film has an element of ‘game’.

I think that the font of the titles works well along with the video as it is discrete enough not
to take away from the animation but also has enough presence to be noticed. This has been
helped to do by the white font which contrasts with the dark background. Furthermore the
transitions from one sequence to another has been edited well so that the average
transition lasts for approximately 8-10 seconds, this allows enough time for the audience to
take in what is happening. The way in which the animation is very entertaining yet not
revealing too much such as location and other characters reflect his role as a spy in the film.
