Many building owners have the desire to upgrade their commercial
properties, but in the current state of the economy they are at a loss as to how to financial such upgrades. The presentation will also review current trends in rebates, public sector financing and private sector financing that make such upgrades possible.
Target Audience:
I think the target audience for this presentation will be building industry
professionals, developers, building owners, property managers and
commercial real estate brokers, as well as educators from real estate
development programs such as San Diego State’s.
Keeping PACE With Energy Efficiency in North AmericaKerry Kilpatrick
Owners of commercial and industrial property in the U.S. spend $202 billion each year on energy for their operations and yet 30% of that cost is unnecessary. Property Assessed Clean Energy provides a solution.
Tenants in USDA-financed rentals – the majority of whom are elderly –
depend on their affordable homes, but resources and policies regarding
preservation of these developments are changing. Panelists will discuss
USDA policies as well as strategies for preservation in the current economic
climate.
How to Build a Great Cloud/SaaS Business Case Analysis for Technology InvestmentGotransverse

• Project employs two innovative elements to make
digester/generator technology possible for family farms:
2. Cost-efficient geo-membrane digester vessel to reduce capital
costs;
3. A business model that overcomes the obstacles small farms
face in getting access to capital, developing operational
expertise, and manpower.
• EFI will own and operate the project for 10 years, at which
time the upfront capital will be repaid. Then, EFI and the farm
owner will negotiate a new lease agreement.
• Requires no investment from farm owners.

• Little changes in Policy make a BIG difference.
• We MUST replace coal with other sources of energy.
It is sending our money to KY, PA, and WV.
• An RPS brings jobs and makes SC competitive and it
will not dramatically affect rates.
• A balanced portfolio with nuclear, hydro and
renewables should be the future if we want those
jobs.
• If we don’t act NOW. Jobs and other opportunities
will go to more business friendly states.
