- The Big issues effecting businesses & why, are studied in Michael Gerber’s The E Myth – one of THE classic business books Gerber outlines three personality types of : T / M / E T – doing the job/ work – NOW e.g. plumber, hairdresser, book keepers M – like to be in control – PAST e.g. spreadsheets of reports going back in time E – like to live in the – FUTURE e.g. coming up with lots of ideas, some of them crazy (I’m sure we all know people like that?) Perfect Biz person would be a mix of all 3 – H most Biz Owners are mainly ONE SURVEY – Hitchin asking who starts a Biz ? – actually T’s NOT E’s that start hence the E Myth Not that surprising Educational system – funnelling down to specify - narrowing allows for no balance – Tragic 80:80:4
