This Ecuadorian legend describes an encounter between a boy named Vico and a goblin in the village of Huambaló. Vico was playing marbles late one evening despite his grandmother's warnings. A small, darkly dressed man with an oversized hat approached and asked to play, which Vico agreed to. As it got darker and foggy, Vico realized he was in the ravine with the demonic creature.
