Alexandria Walsh was sent to live in Monte Vista to work as a house mother and minstrel at Redding House. She was given custody of two children, Cassian and Bant. Cassian loved pretending to be king but was a picky eater, while Bant was more agreeable. Alexandria had hoped to be a fortune teller but had to take the minstrel job as there were no mystic carriages in Monte Vista. The family went on a holiday which improved their bonding. Over time, Cassian grew into a teenager while Bant also approached her teenage years. Alexandria was informed two more children would be joining their household. 2. Alexandria Walsh had been sent to dwell in the hamlet of
Monte Vista. Her own home had been overcrowded and her
father was tired of finding matches for 7 daughters. So
Alexandria found herself joining the caregivers at Redding
House as a house mother and minstrel.

3. She’d been sent a child of each gender to start. Her son
Cassian loved to play make believe and pretend he was the
king of all Simland. He was also quite the picky eater always
choosing to eat his own food rather than what Alexandria
prepared.

4. Bant was much more agreeable than her brother.
She never put up a fuss about eating and liked
spending time with her new mother.

5. Alexandria had to settle on a minstrel position as Monte
Vista had no mystic carriages. Probably one of the chief
reasons her father had sent her here in the first place to get
all those notions of becoming a fortune teller out of her head.

6. It was quite beautiful here though and she couldn’t
exactly blame Cassian for constantly standing on the
balcony declaring this and that across the town. He’d
make quite the town crier wouldn’t he?

7. Even though she couldn’t take her dream job
here in Monte Vista, there was nothing that said
she couldn’t still play in magic when the kids were
away at their lessons.

8. Bant loved her lessons, and was quite dutiful in
completing her work. Casein of course would
really much rather play king.

9. To Bant’s exasperation, her older brother had
started talking all the local children into playing
royalty. Her friend Ana Marie no longer seemed to
have time for anything else anymore.

10. The sisters at the mother house had decided to send
her little family on holiday after learning the children
were not bonding so well with their new mother midway
through the summer season.

11. It took a great deal of coaxing, but eventually
Cassian agreed to play chess with his sister.
Didn’t all the best kings play chess?

12. The holiday proved to be exactly what they had
needed. After just a few days, Alexandria and the
two children were thick as thieves.

13. She even had a little extra on hand
to buy each child a trinket from their
stay.

14. Though she’d enjoyed the trip, it was nice to
finally get home and back to her own couch. Oh
how she loved to lounge about on a good comfy
sofa!

15. Cassian meanwhile was out
climbing about in the tower. That
boy could never sit still.

16. Time had flown by. Before she knew it Fall
had come and Cassian was about to be a
teenager. Was she ready for that?

17. Well, she supposed she’d have to get used to the idea of
teenagers. Little Bant would be a teenager soon enough too.
She’d also received word from the mother house that a new
boy and girl would be joining their house at the beginning of
next season. 4 children!

18. Best get in as much music practice now as she could, with her
“family” growing she wouldn’t have quite as much free time now
would she? Still, though she’d had her doubts, Alexandria found
she didn’t mind living all the way out here in Monte Vista. She
quite loved the tranquility.
