2. Glam Hair and Beauty, Hightown, Wrexham.
Whilst at ACT part of my training programme was to complete a work experience placement
at Glam Hair and Beauty Salon. I gained a valuable seven months experience at the salon,
meeting and greeting clients and answering the phone. My customer service skills have
developed as I’ve also worked on the reception and dealt with stylists bookings.
I was introduced to shampooing hair and blow drying, and also removing tints.
Hafod House Residential Home, Ruabon
I work voluntarily at Hafod House to gain as much work experience as I can, to assist with
my employability skills.
Duties include, general kitchen duties and housekeeping. cleaning duties. I have also been
involved with painting the nails of the residents and talking to them to keep them company,
and also planting flowers in their community garden in the Summer.
