Americans disagree with the idea that America was an imperialist much like several other countries. America much like the French and Europe wanted to dip their hand in trend. We took on much rebellion from the indigenous people and it wasn’t an easy process. America approved to annex the Philippines and America was easily abroad one of many Imperialist nations like John Bull’s England. Imperialism can be broadly described in many different aspects of actions made by the U.SMany Americans including President Taft himself tried to gain support from the island peoples. the “philippinization” began and American influence weakened in the Philippines.The Philippine people demonstrated a lot of Civil protests to our incoming. The American people attempted to connect with the Natives and hoped for economic influence and control.
There were wars and several moments of oppression expressed in the minds of the Philippine people. These was war and aggression that came out of differences in Muslims and Christians.In 1908 The Bureau of Labor was established and Labor changed drastically. Peasant and workers protested throughout the 1920’s. America failed in the Philippines and its colonial policies.
