Amalfi Coast (Amalfi, Ravello 4-8 hours)
Our driver will come and pick you up with one of our Mercedes car or van from your hotel, villa or
B&B in Positano or any other places along the Amalfi Coast or Sorrento. We’ll drive along the Amalfi
Coast through Praiano a small fishing village, Furore where the Furore Fiordo is located, this is one of
the most amazing beauty created by nature, settled in a valley along the coast, and Conca Dei Marini
where the Emerald Grotto is find. This is one of few caves worldwide flooded with brilliant natural
blue or emerald light, before we reach Amalfi our first stop.
Amalfi lies at the foot of
Monte Cerreto surrounded by amazing cliffs and spectacular coastal scenery. This little town once was
the capital of Maritime Republic and a trading powerhouse in the Mediterranean between the 839 and
1200. The main attraction is The Cathedral of Sent Andrew’s (The Duomo) a Baroque and Byzatine
style building that overlooks that the main Piazza Duomo. Michelangelo Naccherino a pupil of
Michelangelo sculptured the bronze statue of Sent Andrew.
Next to the Duomo lies the Cloister of Paradise (Chiostro Del Paradiso) built by Filippo Augustariccio
between 1266 and 1268 and was used has a burial for noble family of Amalfi and here you will find the
Crypt built by the Archbishop Capuano to lay the remains of Sent Andrew.
The Handmade Paper Museum
Located in the Valle Dei Mulini inside Amalfi, this is an old handmade paper factory that was
converted in a museum in the 1969. The factory has fully operating machinery that where used to
produce handmade paper.
Arsenal Of Maritime Republic
The main function of the arsenal was to repair, store and built warships. The building now keeps old
warships, architectural and sculptural remains and a row-burg used in the Historical Regatta and also is
used during the year to hold art exhibitions.
Once we leave Amalfi we’ll continue our tour towards Ravello located on top of Amalfi on a small
promontory called Cimbrone, this little town of just 2500 inhabitants in the 1996 earned a listing the
UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Villa Rufolo
2. Built by Nicolo Rufolo one of the riches businessman in Ravello. The villa was mention by Giovanni
Boccaccio in the Decameron and has become an attraction for thousands of visitors that every year
visits the area. This is the some place that inspired Richard Wagner to stage his opera Parsifal and
today is so called the Terrace of Richard Wagner where they hold the Ravello Summer Music Festival.
Villa Cimbrone
Dating from the 11th
century AD and it’s famous for is spectacular belvedere, the Terrace of Infinity.
The villa now is a hotel but the gardens are open to the public.
The Duomo of Ravello that holds the “Pupil Of Gospels” created by Nicolo di Bartolomeo from
Foggia. The church of San Giovanni del Toro (Saint John of the Bull) built in the 11th
century is named
after John the Apostle and for “il Toro” was the old name of the aristocratic street where it was built.
The church is famous for the Pulpit dating back the 13th
century.
Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius (6-8 hours)
Our driver will come and pick you up with one of our Mercedes car or van from your hotel, villa or
B&B in Positano or any other places along the Amalfi Coast or Sorrento. We’ll drive along the
Sorrento Peninsula admiring the amazing views overlooking Li Galli (an island just outside Positano
once owned by the Russian dancer Rudolph Nureyev) and the beautiful “Faraglioni” a rock formation
(three in this case) just off Capri Island.
Pompeii
Our first stop will be in Pompeii, for the ruins, a roman city believed to be built between the 6th
and 7th
century BC by Oscans that was completely destroyed and buried under a massive rubble of ash and
pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the 79 AD. Pompeii is one of the most visited
archeological sites in Italy and is part of the Vesuvius National Park and was awarded in 1997 as a
World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Everything that was buried
during the Vesuvius eruption has been well preserved by the lack of air for over two thousands of
years. Where else in the world you can walk along streets that are over 2000 years old? And admire the
houses, baths and temples that are still standing, like the Stone Amphitheater the oldest and the best
preserved in the world or the Forum, the house of Vetti, Villa dei Misteri where the majority of its
walls, ceilings and the amazing frescoes survived almost undamaged, just to name a few.
Here you have the option for us to arrange a 2-hour private guide or you can walk around by yourself
or with an audio-guide that you can rent at the entrance of the ruins in Porta Marina.
Herculaneum
A roman city that lies in the shadow of the Vesuvius and was covered by 20 meters of volcanic lava
during the eruption in 79 AD. Unlike Pompeii the city can still be seen in almost is original splendour.
Walking through the ruins you can get a unique inside into the Roman life, with many building still
intact like the many mosaics and frescoes that are in an extraordinary state of preservation.
Herculaneum is not yet fully excavated, 75% of it still lies under the ash and pumice.
Like Pompeii where in the world you can walk on streets that are 2000 years old? And be taken by the
amazing surroundings like Casa D’Argo, Casa Dello Scheletro, Terme Maschili, the Documano
Massimo, Casa dei Cervi or the Terme Suburbane to name a few incredible sites.

Mount Vesuvius
Towering above Gulf of Naples the Vesuvius is located about 9km east, it’s among other active
volcano’s that forms the Campanian Volcanic Arc. Mount Vesuvius is best known for the eruption on
the 79 AD that destroyed the city of Pompeii and Herculaneum and is the only volcano that erupted in
the last 100 years in Europe. You can walk all the way up to the crater from where we’ll leave you in
about 40 minutes depending on your level of fitness.

Paestum
Was founded by the Greek and later on was conquered by the Lucanians and then by the Roman that
gave the city the current name. Today the ruins of Paestum are famous for three Greek temples in
Doric style that are from the 6th
century BC and are very well preserved. These were dedicated to Hera
and Poseidon. The first Temple of Hera dates back to the 550 BC and was built by the Greek and is the
oldest one in Paestum.
The second Temple of Hera
was built around the 460 BC and was dedicated to Poseidon. In the centre of the ruins we have the
Roman Forum and going to the northeast we’ll find the roman Amphitheatre. On the highest point of
the site lies the Temple of Athena that was build during the 550 BC. The architectures of the temple are
partly Ionic style and partly Doric style. Paestum unlikely Pompeii and Herculaneum is not a very busy
sites so you can enjoy and be taken in by the magnificent scenery that the ruins have to offer.
Off course the next stop will be in one of the famous Buffalo Mozzarella farms where you can enjoy
the incredible delight of the “Mozzarella di Buffala” and the other local produces. The Buffalo
Mozzarella was awarded in 1993 of the DOC (Controlled Designations of Origin by the Italian
government and from 1996 it’s also protected by the EU. The name Mozzarella comes from the
procedure in which the soft cheese is made called Mozzatura, which means cutting by hands. You can
either stop before or after the ruins in one of the farm.
