Growing a whole institution culture of commitment to student engagement
As the student engagement agenda has gained momentum in UK higher and further education, there are numerous interesting and complex issues that arise and seemingly prevent a whole institutional commitment to working with students as partners.
Issues such as departmental autonomy, traditional hierarchies and power dynamics, and lack of time invested in innovative student engagement all contribute to a landscape where engaging students remains a project rather than a culture, and something done in a few departments rather than across a whole institution.

ABSTRACT
Based on an HEA funded pilot study, this presentation focuses on engaging Law Students in the development and preparation of their own Personal Development Plans. The project considers how students see their learning and development needs and the current barriers to developing PDPs. The focus on PDP emphasises its importance as the foundation for integrating into current legal education an understanding of legal professionalism. By enabling students to take responsibility and to actively develop their PDP it is argued that students will come to embody wider values of legal professionalism, notably the promotion of justice.

Each country or business sector has different needs and realities. Thus, our organisation has two layers: The first one is local, based in some important cities in the world. EURES (European Employment Services) és una xarxa de cooperació per a l’ocupació i la lliure circulació de persones treballadores que promou la Comissió Europea i els serveis públics d’ocupació de l’Espai Econòmic Europeu (EEE), entre els quals hi ha el Servei Públic d’Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC).
L’objectiu de la Xarxa EURES és oferir serveis a les persones demandants d’ocupació i a les empreses que desitgin beneficiar-se del principi de la lliure circulació de persones; mitjançant l'aportació de la màxima informació i assessorament sobre ofertes i demandes d’ocupació, situació i evolució del mercat de treball, i sobre les condicions de vida i treball de cada país.

El Projecte UNICAT Ambassadors es crea l’any 2017 amb el propòsit d'apropar les institucions europees a les universitats catalanes. La xarxa UNICAT està integrada per dotze estudiants de les universitats catalanes que actuen com antenes multiplicadores de les actuacions de l'EU Career Student Ambassador (Ambaixador/ora EPSO) i són el punt de contacte pels estudiants a cadascuna de les universitats del sistema català.

This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
