A Muslim's character is recognized through their adherence to rituals and good deeds that influence personality and reputation over time, rather than immediate results. Developing strong character through conscience, compassion, consideration, courage, control and confidence requires significant ongoing effort for rewards that may not be immediate. Rituals alone do not define a Muslim's faith or character.
