It provides the version numbers that have been tested with releases 4.0.0 and 4.0.1 of Alfresco along with any relevant comments.

The Solr server is supported only when running in a Tomcat application server. Therefore, you must install Tomcat even if you are using
another application server for Alfresco and you also wish to use Solr search.
