This report analyzes mobile money services in several countries including Romania, Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic, highlighting the increases in financial inclusion and socio-economic development fostered by mobile financial services. It categorizes services into mobile banking, money transfer, and payments, examining connectivity, technology adaptations, and key success criteria for mobile money adoption. The study aims to provide EBRD bankers with insights into the obstacles and opportunities for advancing mobile money services in these regions.
