Album cover plan
1. ALBUM COVER PLAN
For my band, I have selected three models I will us to portray my band as I think three is a
suitable number of members for a punk rock act.
I have chosen this model, Nathan Searle to act as the vocalist and
lead guitarist of the band. He is a suitable model as he fits the
image for a punk rock band and he usually wears the sort of
clothing associated with this genre; this being a denim/leather
jackets, flannel shirts, jeans and boots. In addition, he sings and
plays guitar anyway so he is suitable to use for the genre my band
is trying to recreate. He will wear a plain white shirt with a red
flannel shirt and denim jacket over to the top to give him the punky
look I am trying to recreate for the band. The image will not go
below the waist for the front cover, so it will not be an issue what
he is wearing below, for the front cover. As far as props are
concerned, he like the other members of the band will just be using
a blindfold for the front cover. However, he will be using other props
for the images on the back, inside cover etc. For example, on the
back cover plan to have an image of the band practising, so his
props will be an electric guitar and microphone. All the members of
the band will pose in the sameway, this being lined up next to each
other, looking as though they are about to be shot by a firing squad
to recreate a politically questioning image that a lot of punk bands
reflect.
The third and final model I have decided to select for my band is
Scott Renton, who is suitable for my band as he, in real life, plays
the drums and likes punk rock and indie music however, does not
dress like a stereotypical punk listener would dress like, however,
this is not an issue. For the front image, he will wear a plain black t-
shirt and a leather jacket. He has long, shaggy hair which is
obviously fitting with the look I am creating and so he is a good
model to use. In terms of his pose, he will have his head bowed,
blindfolded and hands behind his back as will the others so his only
prop for the front cover is a blindfold. On the back cover his main
prop will be the drum kit and he is mean to be the drummer of the
band.
The second model I have chosen to use for my punk band is
Cameron Frullo. He is a suitable model to use for my band as he
typically listens to non-mainstream music, such as prog-rock, indie
rock and 80s style glam rock. He usually wears flannel shirts and
white t-shirts with baggy jeans, so he is a good fit in terms of
recreating the rock look that I am demonstrating in the images for
my band. He also has long floppy hair that looks as though he is
into the sort of music I am replicating. He will wear a grey and black
flannel shirt with an Aerosmith band shirt. His only prop for the front
cover will be a blindfold and his pose will be with his hands behind
his back and his head bowed, looking like he is going to be shot by
a firing squad. On the back cover, his main prop will be the bass
guitar, as he is supposed to be the bassist in the band.
