“My professional placement
showed me the practical side
of my coursework; I learned a
variety of professional standards
and practices, and the industry
application of the theory and skills
I had learned at UTS.
I developed valuable knowledge
about the industry and skills
needed to work as an engineer.
It’s important to ask questions,
to never stop learning and
applying what you learn. It’s an
essential skill in engineering.”
Albert Ong
> Bachelor of Engineering
(Mechanical and Mechatonics)
Diploma in Engineering Practice*

internships with companies of their choice as
part of their five year degree, gaining industry
experience and a professional network before
they graduate.
*Course name has changed for 2015.
