• The numbers which are less than zero are
called negative numbers.

4. SUMS AND PRODUCTS
(3× 12) + (7× 12) = (3 + 7) ×12
= 10×12
= 120

5. For all positive numbers x,y,z
xz + yz = (x + y)z

6. (3× (-12)) + (7× (-12)) = (3 + 7) ×(-12)
= 10×(-12)
= -120

7. For all positive numbers x,y,z
x(-z) + y(-z) = (x + y) (-z)
