Share A Skill Change A Life (SASCAL) is a virtual international charity campaign launched in 2009 to encourage people to share their skills with others for free. It operates through a Facebook page where people can register skills they want to teach or learn. SASCAL's goals include becoming a registered charity, building partnerships with organizations, and expanding globally to help as many people as possible gain useful skills.

• It’s free

7. Who shares?
• Main focus is on persuading professional
instructors to share their skills with people
who are not able to afford further skills
training
• Businesses to barter skills training with other
businesses
• Friends to share their skills with one another

8. How does it work?
• SASCAL promotes iniQaQves through
convenQonal, new and social media
• People register on our page to parQcipate
• RegistraQon form is automaQcally sent to our
email address
• We co‐ordinate which teacher goes with
which student. In the future this will be
automated

• To create a series of aracQve stand alone iniQaQves which
have the potenQal to be powerful CSR iniQaQves for large
organisaQons
• To persuade organisaQons to adopt CODE: SHARE!
• To build a website with major sponsors
• To become a registered charity
• To appoint a board of directors
• To be a worldwide campaign
• To source one local representaQve per country to act as a
catalyst for encouraging parQcipants

their CSR iniQaQve of choice

first aid instructors to teach less fortunate
people first aid skills

parQcularly to those areas where people have
the most to gain by learning this skill

12. How will it work?
• The main sponsor to provide the skills and venue for teaching first
aid skills
• Other sponsors to provide first aid kit
• A third sponsor to provide free transport
• Press release compiled with SASCAL to announce iniQaQve to
media. RegistraQon to parQcipate via organisaQons for which
people work or registraQon on SASCAL’s Facebook page
• Teach 300 people first aid every year
• Event at the end of that period to celebrate their accomplishments
• CerQficate, first aid kit and photograph provided
• Media invited
