In the Report Assignment, you’ll carry out the plan that you established in the Proposal Assignment. The purpose of the Report Assignment is to demonstrate your ability to prepare a formal researched report to a specific, professional audience, to conduct and evaluate research and incorporate it effectively, and to document the sources you use accurately.
Essentially, your goal in the report will be to explore the problem (background, context, etc.) and the solutions for the decision-maker(s) you’ve identified, offering a recommendation(s) for action.
The final version of the report will include front matter, the body of the report, and back matter.
Front Matter
Prior to the body of the report, you will need to include a memo or letter of transmittal, a title page, a table of contents, a list of illustrations (if you include illustrations), and an executive summary.
Body of the Report
The body of the report should use a conventional structure and incorporate meaningful headings that reveal the structure of the report to the readers. (“Body” is not a meaningful heading.) While you should include sections for Introduction and Conclusions, the other sections that make up the body of the report will depend upon the specific focus of your work. Your outline in the Proposal may be useful, but you will most likely need to modify that outline as you complete research.
A discussion of your methods (or search strategies) and a discussion of the problem/opportunity should be included in the report; such items can appear in the introduction or in the body of the report, depending on how much development is needed.
A recommendation or recommendations for the next step your audience should take will most likely end the report.
Required Research: Research should be used throughout the discussion. Include at least 5 scholarly sources in the report and ensure that all other sources are authoritative in nature.
Interviews can be used as sources, but transcripts of the interviews must be provided as an appendix to the report (which will not count as part of the word requirement mentioned above).
The research should be incorporated into the text gracefully, meaning, in part, that summary should be preferred to direct quotation. Summary and paraphrase require citation in text.

Assessment Purpose
The primary purpose of this assessment is for students to develop skills in applying HRM
frameworks and models to analyse a workplace case study that is experiencing competitive
challenges influencing the role of HR. The assessment requires you to analyse the case study

The secondary purpose of this assessment is to give students the opportunity to enhance their

Assessment Task This assessment requires you to identify and discuss HR planning and recruitment in a particular sector of the labour market.
Select an industry (or specific organisation) as the case study for your report. Identify some of
the key challenges for planning and recruiting the workforce for this industry. Your report should
draw on material from Weeks 1-5, and make reference to factors such as HR strategies of the
sector, the HR Planning challenges for the sector (such as labour supply and demand,
demographic issues such as ageing workforces and diversity),and the recruitment strategies and
challenges for the sector (such as where the sector gets recruits, sourcing from internal or
external labour markets, employer branding etc.
Students are expected to engage in extensive research within the academic literature to develop

DIGITAL ANIMATION
This assignment requires you to develop a simple digital animation using Adobe Flash.
In the Assignment 1 section of Moodle there is a zip file named “digital_animation.zip” that is available to download – when unzipped this will produce the following files:
· Ten (10) images of digits (0.jpg to 9.jpg). These images will be used for your student number in the animation specified below.
· An Ass1_Sample.swf file showing a sort of animation. However, please note that you need to note that the animation in the sample file is based on a very different specification; so, you are required to follow the specification given below.
The animation must incorporate the following images:
· An image of yourself – it can be whatever image you like (eg. You on holiday, at the beach, at university, etc), but must include yourself. This image will be used as a background image (in step a and b below).
· An image of your home town. This image will be used as a background image too (in steps b, c, d and e below).
· The images of the digits provided to make up your student number (in step c below).
· An image (different to that used for steps a & b) of yourself that you can select your head (from neck up) and cut it out to create a new image. Your image must be neatly cut out from its original photo. When you cut yourself out and save the image, the background should be fully transparent. You will have to save it in a correct file format for it to be successfully shown against the background in Flash. (in step f below).

DIGITAL ANIMATION
This assignment requires you to develop a simple digital animation using Adobe Flash.
In the Assignment 1 section of Moodle there is a zip file named “digital_animation.zip” that is available to download – when unzipped this will produce the following files:
· Ten (10) images of digits (0.jpg to 9.jpg). These images will be used for your student number in the animation specified below.
· An Ass1_Sample.swf file showing a sort of animation. However, please note that you need to note that the animation in the sample file is based on a very different specification; so, you are required to follow the specification given below.
The animation must incorporate the following images:
· An image of yourself – it can be whatever image you like (eg. You on holiday, at the beach, at university, etc), but must include yourself. This image will be used as a background image (in step a and b below).
· An image of your home town. This image will be used as a background image too (in steps b, c, d and e below).
· The images of the digits provided to make up your student number (in step c below).
· An image (different to that used for steps a & b) of yourself that you can select your head (from neck up) and cut it out to create a new image. Your image must be neatly cut out from its original photo. When you cut yourself out and save the image, the background should be fully transparent. You will have to save it in a correct file format for it to be successfully shown against the background in Flash. (in step f below).

Overview
The final project for this course is the creation of a research paper. You will be examining organizational behavior and how it affects corporate strategy and decision making. This project will enable you to identify alternatives and recommend thoroughly defended strategies that leaders can use for best practices.
You will select an organizational behavior (OB) topic to research and write about. The topic must be approved by the instructor. This final product represents an authentic demonstration of the competencies achieved in this course as you put into action all that you have learned. The project is divided into three milestones and a final product, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions.
Critical Elements
Expectation of Analysis: Please see the Final Product Rubric below for grading criteria. Pay close attention to each critical element and how you will address it in your final paper.
1. Define the central OB issue or problem.
a. Substantiate multiple aspects of the problem or issue in detail.

a. Write a summary focusing on key elements of your final product.

In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
