Expanded the use of the HFGCS to all services through communication and education to

2. Ensured all system outages for any of the 13 global stations were coordinated with
appropriate agencies ensuring no loss of communication for the DoD worldwide.
Essential team member for establishing a duplicate Network Control Station (NCS) in
Grand Forks, ND. Made HFGCS more reliable for the system and personnel.
COMSEC Officer:
Ensured 100% accountability and safeguarding of classified and unclassified items in
COMSEC program.
Maintained accuracy for all documents including destruction reports, inventory forms,
inspections and hand receipts.
-Radio Operator:
Operated the HFGCS to provide rapid, reliable, non-dedicated communications support
to the President of the United States, Secretary of Defense, DOD agencies, and aircraft
and ships of the United States government during peacetime, contingency operations and
war.
Provided for command and control of strategic, reconnaissance and special mission
platforms to include advisory support, emergency action communications, and
recall/diversion alerts.
-Security Manager:
Trained personnel in proper handling, marking, storage, and destruction of classified
materials.
Authored local Operating Instructions for Emergency Action Procedures.
Ensured personnel are trained for group and individual responsibilities as part of the local
emergency preparedness plan.
