• VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous)
• Every single task is COMPLEX. No black and white,
50 shades of grey
• Priorities may change several times per day
• Deadlines may change several times per day
• Project based teams, different teams in parallel
• Digital and fast work
• In the morning you are managed, in the evening
you manage
• In the morning you are fired, in the evening you are
hired
Performance and rewards
• Customer is your performance judge
• Nothing is guaranteed, but high performance is
rewarded
• You work from project to project / freelance
• Nobody cares of your past titles, grades, CV and
certificates
• Only current performance matters
• You get immediate feedback
• You give immediate feedback
Culture and atmosphere
• On-board yourself
• Profit as only company goal does not work
• Diversity in every step you take
• You learn on-the-job
• You learn to survive and stay over water
• You look for trainings like hungry
Leadership and management
• Job title does not matter but seniority is visible
• You cannot manage through power or hierarchy
• You develop your successors, they might be better
than you
• You constantly look for talent and develop best of
them
