This document provides an agenda for a meeting discussing the relationship between Kentucky high school graduates' readiness for introductory science courses at the University of Kentucky. It outlines a hypothesis that UK's introductory science courses and general education standards provide a smooth transition from Kentucky high schools. It also describes a mini-bridge program conducted in Spring 2011 and collected data. The agenda includes small group discussions on how such a bridge program could impact introductory science courses, how to collaborate with local high school science teachers, important components of collaboration, and resources needed to conduct related action research in the fall.
