This document summarizes the results of a benchmark test of AMT-SYBEX's Affinity Meterflow smart meter data management software. The software was able to process 10 million meters' worth of data in under 30 minutes and 100 million meters' worth of data in under 7 hours. This demonstrated a ten-fold increase in performance over other solutions. The software validates, transforms, loads, analyzes, estimates missing values for, and bills for the large volumes of interval-based smart meter data.
GIS Based Power Distribution System: A Case study for the Junagadh Cityijsrd.com
In this paper power distribution data (poles, transformers and transmission lines) have been mapped using GPS and high resolution remote sensing images. These details have been put in GIS using ArcGIS 9.1 software. Various things like road network and land use are also superimposed on the power distribution system GIS layer. Various types of analysis like finding a pole or circuit of specific transformer can be done using GIS tools.

Only 8–12% of customers report a power outage to their utility. Utilities that integrate Automated Metering Systems (AMI) data into outage management systems receive faster and more accurate reports about power outages, can better predict the extent of the outage, and more reliably verify service restoration. This paper discusses practical considerations when integrating AMI for outage management, including compliance testing, data quantity and quality, analysis issues, and best practices learned from experience.
A key part of implementing Volt-VAR control and optimization is to identify the benefits that can be attributed to VVO. The major challenge is to separate the impacts of VVO (i.e. the VVO benefits) from the impacts of factors not related to VVO, such as changing weather conditions, random customer behavior and routine operational changes (planned switching). Utilities on the panel have performed VVO measurement and verification using different methods. Each presenter will describe how the method works, data requirements, strengths and weaknesses of the approach and results. The session also will summarize work by the IEEE Volt-VAR task force to develop IEEE Guideline P1885 M&V of VVO projects for electric distribution utilities.

This presentation examines how AMI data, the collection of this data and the creation of tools to use this data have dramatically changed and is continuing to change metering operations. We will look at some of the challenges we are facing as we learn how to do business most effectively with this information and these tools.
INTERNET OF THINGS (ONLINE ENERGY MANAGEMENT)FELIDAE SYSTEMS
We propose IOT based solution using which we monitor in real time basis (24x7).Online monitoring helps in remote diagnosis and possible suggested solution; as a result the work force will be targeted to the malfunctioning panel only with suggested solution. Reports can be generated online, and one can monitor anywhere and anytime the performance of electrical parameters by themselves.

The industrial Internet

world-class analytics within
reach of smaller production
facilities.
In the coming decades, the Internet will change the methods and
processes of industry – just as it has changed the behavior of con-
sumers in recent decades. Nearly a third of the turnover of indus-
trial companies in Finland, €39 billion, is generated by products
that depend on software.
ABB and our products and solutions – frequency converters,
robots, and industrial automation and energy systems – have been
improving the processes of our customers for decades. The gains
in capacity, productivity and energy use have been dozens of
percent. As a result, our customers have improved their competi-
tiveness and their production has become more environmentally
friendly and energy efficient. The Internet of Things, Services and
People is about more than just improving productivity by using
intelligent products, sensors and analysis of measurement data.
The industrial Internet is a shift from factory-level solutions to the
Internet. In practice, this means connecting people, services and
things over the Internet, which opens up entirely new opportuni-
ties, including the development of the service business.

So what role will people play in this industrial paradigm shift?
Increasing automation has freed people from backbreaking,
dangerous and tiresome routine tasks. This trend will continue
as people, services, and things become interconnected through
the Internet: people’s responsibilities will shift to knowledge work
requiring expertise, process control, and decision-making. Next-
generation robots, such as the ABB's YuMi, will be able to work
side-by-side with people.
The Internet of Things, Services and People still has its challenges,
with the main ones being the massive amount of sensor data and
the need for data security. All parties will have to cooperate to
overcome these challenges. ABB participates actively in the Finn-
ish FIMECC research program, which is developing expertise and
practices for future industrial service businesses.

Implementing Oracle Utility-Meter Data Management For Power ConsumptionIJERDJOURNAL
ABSTRACT: In this digital mobile world, it‟s need of time to streamline and increase efficiency in business processes like effective data collection, measurement, automatic validation, editing and estimation of measurement data, analysis and dashboard for forecasting and ease in end user accessibility with Just in Time. This paper is following two methodology in this process. CEMLI is an extensive framework for developing and implementing for Oracle whereas OUM is business process and use case driven process which supports products, tool, technologies and documentation. This paper have focused on analytical data, system automation functionality along with prototype designing. For this, analysts and administrators will collect and define calculation rule for data collection and measurement, deployment methods, dashboards and security features. This paper gives measure understanding of cloud technologies and their features like services (SaaS), deployment methods, security and ability to reduce overhead cost, downtime, and automate business processes with 360 degree review and analysis. It consolidates data in one system with volumes of analog and interval data which facilitates new customer with offering and effective program. Also it maximizes return on investments and protects revenue through comprehensive exception management.
