He has over 20 years experience in the software industry, previously founding and leading Esprit Information Solutions which specialized in information sharing and collaborative working software for health and social care. Tom Knight has 13 years experience designing IT services for the public sector and was instrumental in the development and wider adoption of CarePlace, London's social care data sharing system, where he served as the technical lead. At Affinity Works, he aims to use his expertise to benefit public sector organizations outside of London.

Richard Wellings – Affinity Works Director
Richard has Post-Graduate Diploma in Information Management and has
spent 20 years working at senior levels in the software and services
industry delivering solutions to the UK public sector.
He was a founder and subsequently Managing Director of Esprit
Information Solutions who, from 2000-2013, specialised in providing high
innovation software solutions in line with emerging Central and Local
Government policy initiatives – particularly with regard to secure multi
agency information sharing and collaborative working across Health and
Social Care.

Tom Knight – Affinity Works Director
Tom has 13 years of experience in designing and deploying IT services
for the public sector. He has been the technical lead for CarePlace
(London’s Social Care Data Hub/Directory) since the project initiation,
after building the prototype as proof of concept. He has been instrumental
in both the wider adoption of CarePlace across London, and developing
the system to meet increasing business demands.
As CarePlace has become recognised as an example of best practice,
Tom has been invited to share his experience as a guest speaker in
several related forums including SOCITM, ADASS, TLAP and London
Councils. For him, Affinity Works is a platform to use that experience to
benefit clusters in areas outside of London.
