At the beginning of the 20th century in Europe, there were both democracies and authoritarian regimes. Between 1870 and 1914, there was a period of armed peace with high tensions due to conflicts caused by imperialism among European powers and disputes between France and Germany over Alsace and Lorraine. Germany's Weltpolitik disrupted the balance of power established after the Franco-Prussian war. The weakness of the Ottoman Empire also encouraged Austria and Russia to seek control over the Balkans. By 1900, the major European countries had invested heavily in their militaries. In response to the rising tensions, new military alliances formed including the Triple Alliance of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy, and the Triple

The document provides guidance on effectively giving directions to students. It recommends directions be systemic, one at a time, and use positive words that are stunningly clear and specific to avoid ambiguity. It advises walking students through directions step-by-step without making them feel stupid, using simple language while recognizing some tasks may be simple but not easy. It also suggests allowing students to pause and view materials before continuing and using a variety of visuals, words, and open-ended questions carefully.

This mid-term learning paper summarizes initial research conducted by three Australian NGOs (ANGOs) and their in-country partners exploring the link between child and youth participation and development effectiveness. The research involved participatory activities with children, youth, and communities across projects in Fiji, Laos, and Nepal related to child clubs, youth sport, and environmental management.
Key findings include:
- In Laos and Nepal, personal development was most commonly reported as the biggest change resulting from participation, while Fiji saw improved environmental practices.
- Different groups valued different changes.
- Evidence supported links between participation and all areas of the development effectiveness framework, including intangible and tangible outcomes.

Commerzbank, Germany's second largest bank, faces a difficult restructuring similar to Britain's Lloyds Banking Group after receiving government assistance during the financial crisis. Like Lloyds, Commerzbank's initial recovery mirrored that of another European bank but its shares have not rebounded as strongly and it reported low profits in 2012. Analysts want Commerzbank to continue shedding non-core assets but some, like shipping loans, are difficult to offload. To improve its domestic retail business, Commerzbank must make staff cuts and branch closures while growing its online operations, but full recovery could be a prolonged process based on the bank's low share price.
This document analyzes disciplinary data from a school. It finds that detention, in-school suspension, and out-of-school suspension are not deterring repeat offenders, with 57% of students serving detention twice, 45% serving ISS twice, and 36% serving OSS twice. Common repeat offenses for detention and ISS are tardiness, absences, and skipping detention. While OSS repeat offenders typically do not reoffend for the same reasons. The document argues suspensions negatively impact student learning and achievement and schools should focus on systemic support for student behavior and academic success.

Projet Robotic parking system à CasablancaMeryem Kamal
This document is a final project report submitted by a team of 4 students - Alan Tam, Yuanyuan Liu, Joseph Guarnes, and Thanh-Phuong Nguyen. Outbound Licensing Strategies: Is Open Source the Right Model for Your Company?Jennifer O'Neill
In the past, companies that invested heavily in software development had the objective of either licensing that software commercially, or enhancing their internal IT environments. There is now a third option: releasing that code under an open source license in order to encourage industry-wide adoption of its functionality, gain valuable input from external experts, and better integrate that software with other common components.

A presentation on the principles that technology suppliers can adhere to in order to become more responsible. Also serves as a description of behaviours that procuring organisations should look for in their suppliers.
This was originally written back in 2010. I didn't focus on the technology itself, hence most is still relevant today. However, there have been further developments since then that may require additional thought, e.g. the role of DevOps and the supplier's responsibility to it, the place of AppStore and similar software repositories.
This presentation provides information on Inflectra, our product suite and our partnership programs, including sales affiliate, solution provider, reseller, and hosting partner.

5 User consent and disclosure requirements
ClickInstalls ensures all its installers follows and/or exceeds industry standards, mandating
either opt-in or opt-out acceptance or decline action, anti-fraud monitoring, secure and
encryption protocols for package delivery, and human review of every integration, and
confirmation publisher installers are in compliance while active. We will coordinate our
policies and standards with our partners to maintain a transparent technical and business
transaction with the end-user.
Below please find an example of a template offer screen we use when integrating a
partner bundle offer:
This partner bundle offer screen example, is broken up into three main sections-
1. HEADER - This design area can incorporate images or text or both
2. BODY - This design area can incorporate images or text or both. This design area can
incorporate a scrollable or non-scrollable End User License Agreement (EULA)
3. FOOTER – This area incorporates dialogue controls with the user, opt-in | opt-out,
accept | not-accept, cancel, next and so on. This is also where the legal links are
placed.
Important: This template is only meant as an example. ClickInstalls programs its partner bundle offers using a
variety of installer languages / formats. Partner bundle offer screens can and will be customized when required.

6 Executing bundle installer
ClickInstalls will program your offer screen to display once it passes a number of logical
checks. The offer screen will be coded based on your requirements and instructions. In
the case where you require us to provide multiple checkboxes, we will need each
command line and parameters to execute, once the offer screen has been accepted.
We will execute your bundle application after the end-user has accepted the license, and
therefore ClickInstalls will need the parameters to do so.
7 Reporting and tracking integrations
ClickInstalls tracks and reports a number of variables and displays them to its publishers.
We will require full access to your reporting system to track and reconcile our delivery.
In order for us to confirm our own internal reporting, we will provide you with a tracking
url to be fired upon a successful installation of your software by you. Below please see an
example of how the tracking url (or ‘Approved Installs’) url would work:
Where, 123.clickinstalls.com = an example of a clickinstalls tracking domain
Step1:
ClickInstalls will program its partner bundle offer into the ClickInstalls platform, and
generate a unique tracking pixel url, and send it to partner
Step2:
Partner will receive via email the unique tracking pixel url, and program it into partners final
success page (mutually agreed place to fire tracking pixel url by and between partner and
ClickInstalls)
Please see Sample unique tracking pixel url for partner to program:
