Adverbs of frequency such as never, rarely, occasionally, sometimes, often, usually and always are used to describe how frequently an action occurs. These adverbs are typically placed before verbs but follow auxiliary verbs or the verb "to be." Additionally, phrases like once in a while, every day/month/year usually appear at the beginning or end of sentences to indicate frequency. Examples are provided of how different adverbs and phrases are used to specify timing, like every day meaning once per day.
