Adverbs are used to qualify in different ways what
the verb expresses. We use adverbs of frequency in
English exercises to indicate how often we do
something, for example. We say them all the time
and they help us to be more precise in our sentences.
Adverbs of frequency express how often (time) we do an action.
 We use them to talk about our habits.
 We talk about the frequency in which we carry out each activity.
For example:
 We have never been there.
 I usually go to the gym every morning.
It is important to know where to place the adverb of frequency in English. It depends
on what type of verb the sentence is constructed with, the adverb will go in one or
another position. For example, in English always or never would never start a sentence
(Always I'm tired is incorrect).
To be: After the verb: You are always happy.
Auxiliaries: After the auxiliary or modal verb: I have always thought you were
brothers.
Rest of the verbs : Between the subject and the main verb: I always work until late
In the case of sometimes or usually we can find these adverbs of frequency heading the
sentence:
Sometimes I work from home.
1. I always arrive at home at 7pm
2. Sarah never has been in Barcelona
3. Usually I go to the gym at 9am
4. I am rarely bored
5. I eat sometimes pasta for dinner
6. My mother never listens to rock music
7. I never don’t go to play football.
