Adverb modifies verb by giving us the following information.
How the action occurs.
Where the action occurs.
How many times action occur.
At which time the action occurs.
Intensity of action.

3. • Adverbs of Manner
• These adverbs tell us that in which manner the action occurs or how
the action occurs or occurred or will occur.
• Examples:
• She speaks loudly.
• He was driving slowly.
• He runs fast.
4. • Adverbs of Place
• Adverb of place tells us about the place of action or where action
occurs/occurred/will occur. e.g. here, there, somewhere, outside.
• Examples:
• He will come here.
• The children are playing outside.
• He was standing near the wall.
5. • Adverbs of Time
• These adverbs tell us about the time of action. e.g. now, then,
yesterday, soon, today, early.
• Examples:
• She will buy a computer tomorrow.
• The guest came yesterday.
• Do it now.
6. • Adverbs of frequency
• Adverbs of frequency tell us how many times the action occurs or
occurred or will occur. e.g. daily, sometimes, always, rarely, seldom,
monthly.
• Examples:
• He goes to school daily.
• He is always late for class.
• Barking dogs seldom bite.
• The employees are paid monthly.
7. • Adverbs of Degree or Quantity
Adverbs of degree tell us the strength or intensity of something that
happens. e.g. very, much, less, too, least.
Examples:
• He is least interested in games.
• They played very badly.
• They are much excited about their vacations.
8. • Adverbs of Affirmation and Negation
• It is an adverb which declares that something is true. e.g. yes, no,
certainly, surely, never, ever.
• Examples:
• He will surely give the money.
• We are definitely leaving tomorrow.
• He is certainly right.
9. • Adverbs of Reason
• The adverb which tells us about a reason is called adverb of reason.
e.g. therefore, so, hence, why, thus, accordingly.
• Examples:
• He is hence unable to refute the charge.
• He therefore left the school.
• This is why , he did not help me.
