This document summarizes injury statistics from seven extreme sports: sky surfing, bungee jumping, snow boarding, white-water rafting, ice diving. Over 4 million total injuries were reported, with 11% (460,115) being head and neck injuries. The four sports with the highest head and neck injuries were skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, and motocross. Skateboarding had the highest incidence rate of head injuries per million person-years at 55, followed by snowboarding at 7.
