1) The study examined factors that predict academic achievement in the first year of medical school at the Arabian Gulf University, including high school grades, admission test scores, and interview scores. 2) The admission science examination scores had the highest correlation with first year grades, followed by the admission English scores and high school grades. 3) Overall, admission test scores, admission science scores, and admission English scores were the best three predictors, accounting for 58.7% of the variability in student performance after the first year.
