Government Exempts NBFC’s From Debenture Reserve Requirements • India’s non-banking financial firms and listed companies that issue debentures will no longer have to maintain a certain level of redemption reserves against them. • This is to increase the availability of money for lending. • The reserve requirement for unlisted companies is reduced to 10% from 25%.
- 19. IRCTC files for IPO • The government is looking to issue up to 20 million shares in IRCTC via the IPO, which fetch the centre around ₹ 500- 600 crore. • The stake sale will result in the government reducing its stake in the company by about 12.5%
