Skill Training (Livelihood).
• In the year 2013-14 – Seasonal Hostel
Management.
Geography:-
• In Balangir district migrant prone block
are Turekela, Muribahal, Bongomunda,
Khaprakhol, Patnagarh, Belpada and
Saintala.
• Around 2 lakhs people migrant and 6-14
year children are 40,000 according to SSA
survey in the year 2006 report.
• In a brick kiln a set of pathuria must
require a child due to their short hand and
height.
Process to open SH:-
• Meeting with BRC/CRC .
• Meeting with Headmaster and SMC.
• Meeting with Villages, village volunteer
and Migrant family.
• Meeting with DPC.
• Interaction and convince to Migrant
family.
• Physibility of student and school building.
• Resolution for sanction of SH.
Objective:-
• Ensure Quality Education.
• Safety and Security of SH Children.
• Health and Hygiene.
• 6-14 year Migrant children ensure their
right to education.
• Strengthening School Management
Committee.
• Check Child Migration.
• Create an educational atmosphere.

Challenges:-
• BRC/CRC not interested to open SH.
• No co-ordination between BRC/CRC,SMC
and Head Master.
• Pending Previous year due.
• Delay in process to open SH.
• Awareness problem with migrant people.
• SMC do not own the system.
• Non migrant children include in SH in
place of migrant children.
Major Gap:-
• Monthly basic or advance payment.
• Delay to start the Seasonal Hostel.
• Could not enroll all migrant children in SH.
• Coverage village is less due to non approval.
• Out of 30000 migrant children cover only 10%
children in Balangir district.
• SH are not open due to lack of infrastructure.
• Need of Caution money to run the SH in the time
of requirement.
• More Training for SMC Members.

our operational area.

  • 2. Partnership With AIF:- • In the year 2005-06 & 06-07 – RCC. • In the year 2011-2012 – Market Align Skill Training (Livelihood). • In the year 2013-14 – Seasonal Hostel Management.
  • 3. Geography:- • In Balangir district migrant prone block are Turekela, Muribahal, Bongomunda, Khaprakhol, Patnagarh, Belpada and Saintala. • Around 2 lakhs people migrant and 6-14 year children are 40,000 according to SSA survey in the year 2006 report. • In a brick kiln a set of pathuria must require a child due to their short hand and height.
  • 4. Process to open SH:- • Meeting with BRC/CRC . • Meeting with Headmaster and SMC. • Meeting with Villages, village volunteer and Migrant family. • Meeting with DPC. • Interaction and convince to Migrant family. • Physibility of student and school building. • Resolution for sanction of SH.
  • 5. Objective:- • Ensure Quality Education. • Safety and Security of SH Children. • Health and Hygiene. • 6-14 year Migrant children ensure their right to education. • Strengthening School Management Committee. • Check Child Migration. • Create an educational atmosphere.

Challenges:- • BRC/CRC not interested to open SH. • No co-ordination between BRC/CRC,SMC and Head Master. • Pending Previous year due. • Delay in process to open SH. • Awareness problem with migrant people. • SMC do not own the system. • Non migrant children include in SH in place of migrant children.
  • 19. Major Gap:- • Monthly basic or advance payment. • Delay to start the Seasonal Hostel. • Could not enroll all migrant children in SH. • Coverage village is less due to non approval. • Out of 30000 migrant children cover only 10% children in Balangir district. • SH are not open due to lack of infrastructure. • Need of Caution money to run the SH in the time of requirement. • More Training for SMC Members.
  • 20. Future Vision:- •Check total child migration and ensure to enroll all children in our operational area. •Strengthening School Management Committee.

  • 26. Case Study:- Name-Jugeswari Bag, Father-Rasit Kumbhar, Age-11, Class-6th, village-Padiabahal, Parent migrate- Cuttack, Advance- Rs.10,000, Stop Migration and enroll in the seasonal hostel.
  • 27. Name-Karuna Kumbhar, Father- Kabi Kumbhar, Age- 8, Class-3rd, Village- Patrapali, Migrated with Parent to Bhubaneswar, Return from worksite and enroll in the Padiabahal SH.
  • 28. Case Study of Tentelmunda SH:- Village/GP-Tentelmunda, Block-Belpada, Dist- Balangir, Household-445, Migration HH-125, Migrated School enroll children-110, but SMC submitted the resolution for the year 2011-12 and 2012-13. SH open in the year 2013-14 and Student enroll in SH-47.
