To add sound to an object in Game Maker, you first load the sound file by clicking the speaker icon and selecting the sound. You then apply the sound to an object by selecting that object, dragging the "play sound" action onto the event you want it to trigger, and choosing the loaded sound file. This will make the sound play when that event occurs for the object.

1. Adding Sound in Game Maker
To an Object:
Click on the speaker on the tool bar at the top then load the sound
After that a box will appear there you can change the name of the sound.
You then click on the load sound button. This opens the files and lets you select the sound
you want. Then just click ok.

2. You then need to apply the sounds to the objects. First you go to the objects and select the
object you want to add the sound to.
You then add the event of when you want the sound to play. Go into the main1 tab at the
side. Then drag the play sound into the actions bar.

3. A box should then pop up. When it says no sound go to the side there should be a little blue
box thing and then you can select one of your previously loaded sounds.
Once you have selected your sound click ok on the play sound box (if you want the sound to loop
select true if not false). The select ok again on the object box.
