This document provides instructions for adding non-diegetic music to a movie in 3 steps: 1) Find and copy the music link from YouTube, 2) Convert the video link to an MP3 file using an online converter, and 3) Drag the MP3 file into the movie project in Premiere and edit where it starts and stops.

1. Adding Non Diegetic Music

2. First Step
• This power point will show how to add music
to your movie.
• The first thing you need to do is find the music
that you want to add to your movie from you
tube.
• Then you copy the link of your music.

3. Second Step
• Once you have copied the link of your music,
you can then go to the internet where you
type in ‘video into mp3’, once you have
selected the first website you can pate you
link in and press convert.
• After pressing convert, it will change you video
in a mp3 file which will then be saved onto
your desktop.

4. Third Step
• After finding the file in your downloads, drag
the music into a new file so that you can keep
it in a safe folder so that you can find it for
future reference.
• Open up premier, and click onto your movie.
• After this open the folder and drag in the
music that you want and have ripped into the
you movie.

5. Final Step
• Once the music has been dragged down onto
your movie you can then cut where you want
it to stop and start etc.
• You can also speed up the music if needed as
well.
• The tools for this are all shown on the side of
the premier screen.
