1. The document provides a mathematics module on solving routine and non-routine word problems involving temperature in real-life situations.
2. It outlines a four-step process for solving such problems: understand the problem, plan a strategy, carry out the plan, and check the answer.
3. Several problem-solving strategies are presented, such as drawing diagrams, making tables, working backwards, and breaking problems into smaller parts. The module also includes example problems and activities for students to practice applying these strategies.
The document provides information about using "going to" to talk about future plans and predictions in English. It discusses how "going to" is used to express intentions or things that are likely to happen based on present evidence. Examples are given of affirmative, negative, and interrogative sentences using "going to" with different subjects. Future time expressions that can be used with "going to" are also listed. The document then covers using the present continuous to talk about future arrangements and the differences between countable and uncountable nouns. Vocabulary related to food, drinks, vegetables, meat and other categories is defined.
This document provides instruction on the present continuous tense in English. It begins by reviewing the structure of the present continuous (e.g. "I am eating") and provides examples of its use when an action is occurring in the present moment. It then provides exercises for students to practice forming affirmative and negative sentences and yes/no questions in the present continuous. The document explains that the present continuous can also be used to refer to future actions, by providing examples like "I'm visiting my brother next week." Later exercises have students answering questions and describing pictures using common present continuous verbs. An activity at the end is a personality quiz where students choose answers to determine what type of person they are.
The document provides instructions for a webquest on weather and meteorology. Students are tasked with completing various online activities and exercises to learn about weather forecasting, different types of fronts, cloud formation, how lightning forms, hurricanes, and weather prediction. The goal is for students to gain experience with basic meteorology concepts and tools through interactive online simulations and videos.

The document discusses two ways to express the future in English: the future simple using "will" and the future with "be going to". It provides examples of how to form affirmative, negative, and interrogative sentences in the future simple with "will" and with "be going to". 1) Be going to is a common structure for talking about future plans, intentions, and predictions in English. It is used to talk about definite arrangements or general future plans.
2) The basic structure is subject + be going to + base form of the verb + complement. For example, "I am going to eat dinner." Negatives replace "be" with "be not" and questions add question words or changing "be" to "be."
3) An example is provided of filling in blanks with the correct forms of be going to to complete sentences about future plans.

Will is used for predictions, quick decisions, and promises, while going to is used for plans, intentions, and predictions based on present evidence. Examples are provided to illustrate the different uses of will and going to. Key differences are that will refers to the future from the present moment, while going to refers to the near future and implies some element of planning or intention.
The document provides information about making weather predictions using future tense grammar structures like "will" and "won't". It discusses using expressions like "There will be" to talk about whether something will exist in the future, and "It will be" to describe physical conditions. Example predictions are given for the weather in several cities over the next day, and students are tasked with assigning temperatures to cities and making a prediction for their own location.
There are two main ways to express the future tense in English: will and be going to. Will is used for predictions, quick decisions, and promises. Be going to is used to express plans and intentions, as well as predictions based on evidence. Both can be used in the affirmative, negative, and interrogative forms. Copy the information
Future using “will”
We use “will” for:
Express future actions decided at the moment of speaking.
Express a prediction based of personal opinions or experiences.
Express a future fact.
Ex. He will stay at home because of the coronavirus.
Subject will verb complement
Look at the pictures and create sentences in future using will.
Example:
David estudiará para el examen.
David will study for the exam.
1. Mi papá verá una serie en Netflix.
2. Ella correrá en el parque.
3. Ellos jugarán futbol el domingo.
4. Mi hermano comerá una pizza.
5. El beberá una soda.
6. María caminará a la escuela.
Questions and short answers in future using “will”
Look again at some pictures and translate the next questions and answers.
Example:
¿Irá él al cine? (Respuesta negativa)
Will he go to the movies? No, he won´t
1. ¿Comprará ella unos chocolates? (Respuesta afirmativa)
2. ¿Lavará mi hermano el carro? (Respuesta negativa)
3. ¿Bailará mi mamá en la fiesta? (Respuesta afirmativa)
4. ¿Escuchará mi amiga música? (Respuesta negativa)
5. ¿Escribirá la maestra la tarea? (Respuesta afirmativa)
2. 6. ¿Cantarán ellos una canción? (Respuesta negativa)
Weather
Make the drawing, print or cut the different kinds of weather and write each of their names.
sunny rainy cloudy windy
snowy stormy
Days of the week Cardinal Points
Write the seven days of the week Make the drawing of the compass rose
with the names of the cardinal points
Temperature
When we talk about weather, we always talk about temperature, and we can use °C (Celsius) and °F (Fahrenheit). In the USA they use °F
but here in Mexico we use °C. In that order we have to know how to convert from °F to °C and we use the next formula:
°F - 32 X 5 ÷ 9
Ex. 50°F = 10°C 50-32=18
18x5= 90
90÷9= 10
North
South
EastWest
3. Convert the next temperaturesfrom °F to °C
40°F
100°F
75°F
32°F
150°F
80°F
60°F
Making a forecast
Copy the chart and make sentences using the future “will” the days of the week, the weather and the temperatures.
On Tuesday, it will be windy, the temperature will be 35°F/ 1.6 °C
On __________, it will be ____________________, the temperature will be 45°F/ _____ °C
On ___________, it will be ____________________, the temperature will be 68°F/ _________ °C
On _____________, it will be ____________________, the temperature will be 110°F/ ________ °C
On ______________, it will be _______________________, the temperature will be 95°F/ _________ °C
