Establish group norms, complete PLC surveys.Present survey data (on what members feel needs to change from last year in PLC meetings and reflect on findings. Active participation of all members in, and approval of, rotation schedule for PLC responsibilities (facilitator, secretary, timekeeper, etc.)First successful PLC meeting where team members take responsibility for the meeting. ACTIVITIES Book Study: Learning by Doing: A Handbook for Professional Learning Communities at Work, 2nd Edition. Dufour, R., Dufour, R., Eaker, R. and Many, T. (2010) Solution Tree. Create and hand-out PLC surveys to be filled out and turned in protecting anonymity.Collect and analyze data from first Common Assessment. Brainstorm interventions and review data for students who are at-riskDiscuss and decide on equitable selection process for PLC responsibilities for each weekly meeting. Brainstorm activities members would like to participate in for future PLC’s. Complete feedback and reflection forms.A variety of activities will take place as members will vote on what activities they schedule. Every three weeks a review of data from common assessments will take place.RESOURCES/RESEARCH TOOLS NEEDEDBooks have been ordered and will be delivered prior to first week of school.
