3. Introduction

The august presence of the leading IT Associations from various parts of
the country, represented by their (President/Secretary) who are also known
as the Panchayats of the Industry, CEO’s, CXO’s and top management of
leading national and International IT companies and various Value Added
Resellers during the 11th Star Nite Awards – 2012 was a vision of the
VARINDIA family which was gloriously upheld . Bringing those who are
considered to the heart and soul of the IT Industry together under one roof
to commemorate a series of revolutionary achievement is itself a milestone.

The companies selected for this year's 11th Star Nite Awards were from
organizations dealing in IT peripherals, PCs to server & Storage, Mobile
and software with their global powerhouses. Companies demonstrated not
only their ability to create new value using IT and execute their projects well
but also how they did so in an uncommon and innovative way: pioneering a
new technology, applying a familiar technology to a new purpose, setting
the bar higher for their competitors. We also took into consideration the fact
that how IT companies weather today’s economic challenges and survive
vis-à-vis their competitors.
