To improve ourselves we should first accept who we are. We should know what is our weakness and what are our strong points. This acceptance help us to grow with understanding. When acceptance is there in life we even appreciate others also and it is easy to make bond with each other which is very much needed today. Acceptance leads to transformation which is the most beautiful phenomenon.
2. Questions…… These are probing questions…
• Are you proud of yourself?
• Are you secure about who you are?
• Do you enjoy your own company?
• Are you comfortable with yourself in the mirror? Are you comfortable
about how you look?
• Do you find yourself trying to emulate someone else excessively?
• How much does the opinion of others matter to you?
• Most importantly do you love yourself?
3. TEENAGE ANGST AND PEER-PRESSURE
• Peer pressure is when you feel you 'have to' do something that you might
not usually choose to do. It is when you choose to do this to fit in, or 'be
cool', amongst your peers.
• Peer Pressure is sneaky.
• Manipulative even.
• Our great need to fit in. Our search for validation. Our attention-seeking
behavior.
• Consequences are damaging.
4. Why and when do we feel INSECURE?
• We feel insecure when we do not know ourselves.
• We feel insecure when we do not know our strengths and weaknesses.
• We become insecure when we are not using our potential (I like to call it
power) efficiently.
5. THE BEST TACKLE
• The best way to tackle PEER PRESSURE is to actually be very secure in
yourself.
• It is when you are insecure about yourself that you feel the need to fit in.
• You should know about your strengths and weaknesses and then start
working on it.
• At the same time you should not be arrogant. You should always be helpful
(Social Calibration).
6. Becoming your own Best Friend
• Journaling
• Overtime, you understand your strengths and weaknesses.
• You then consciously work on it.
• When you are in tune with who you really are. You will never doubt
yourself.
• You will never put yourself in a position where you know you will lose.
• Risks. Calculated Risks…. More accurate.
7. Dealing with your Weaknesses
• Don’t deal with your weaknesses with hate.
• Treat them with understanding. Try to go to the roots of it. Be kind to
yourself.
• Examples: Bad Habits, Suppression etc.
9. Knowing your Purpose.
• To know your purpose, you need to know yourself properly first.
• Journaling, Meditation, Prayers & any kind of spiritual practice really
helps.
• Knowing your strengths, your natural tendencies and your limitations will
push you towards the most spontaneous path.
10. But do you have the courage?
• Do you have the courage to grind, to hustle?
• Do you have the courage to be different?
11. Do you have the Mental Toughness?
• To remain positive when things are not looking so bright.
• To refrain from temptations.
• To persevere when no one believes in you.
