It provides an agenda for the meeting which included presentations on inspiring practices from China, Brazil, and the Netherlands on supporting elderly populations. A key finding from a survey of 23 countries is that while financing is crucial for innovation, solutions tend to rely on public-private funds rather than new financing models like pay-per-use that could provide sustainable funding beyond initial support. The document outlines best practices in supporting elderly populations through technology, community involvement, and organizational cooperation.

Indonesia is facing a shortage of skilled talent and leadership that is hampering its economic growth. The shortage is both in terms of quantity and quality of workers, and these gaps will continue to widen until 2020. There is a need for more training programs that develop skills like digital literacy, problem solving, and global competence to help address the talent shortage problem. Companies, government and universities need to work together on mobile and transnational training solutions tailored to each industry's job roles and skills requirements.

Throughout his career he has studied new media, founded digital agencies and consulting firms, developed online marketing courses, and conducted research on digital communities. The document discusses how organizations can better leverage human capital through Enterprise 2.0 approaches. It argues that knowledge work now requires solving problems and making systems work, which relies on contextualized knowledge shared through conversations. However, traditional work flows do not embed these conversations. The document proposes a "work-flow and sense driven serendipity" that embeds social tools and routines into business processes to engage employees and improve work through sharing information, connecting people, debriefing and refining work. This allows organizations to harness the information capital of employees.

The document discusses how social media and Web 2.0 technologies are changing education, research, and academia. It outlines how these new technologies enable more interactive, collaborative, and participatory forms of learning and knowledge sharing. Researchers can now leverage social networks to find study subjects, monitor online conversations, and build communities. Analysis is also being transformed through new tools like crowdsourcing. Virtual communities are allowing for new forms of scholarly discussion and "liquid publications" that meet researchers in online spaces.
Social media is promising because it allows for global communication and collaboration. Its use is growing, with 94% of organizations planning to maintain or increase investment in social media tools. However, executives remain hesitant due to unawareness of social media's benefits and a desire to control messaging. Implementing social, process, and technology solutions can help organizations overcome these challenges.
