Radiographers' perceptions of good practice in radiography were examined through interviews with six radiographers. Good practice was found to be context dependent, considering the clinical audit setting, radiography modality, and nature of radiography work. Radiographers viewed good practice as evidence-based, adhering to radiation standards, and being documented activity focused on the patient as part of the radiography process. Identifying and assessing good practice in radiography was challenging due to the lack of a accepted model or evaluation criteria. The research concluded that good practice in radiography can be understood as conceptual, patient care focused, and radiation protection centered optimal radiography work activity that occurs through a cyclical process in the Finnish clinical context.
