Cody introduces himself as a 13-year-old student at Galileo school who enjoys skateboarding, playing games, jumping on his trampoline, and eating mashed potatoes and KFC. His aspirations are to work at KFC and eat their food for dinner every night, and by age 18 he wants to have a cool car, live in a mansion, go to college, and retire by 25. He also wants to learn to do a backflip, get married, and own his own KFC restaurant someday.

He later learns that as an infant, he had lost an eye in an accident, and his mother had given him her own eye so he could see. Deeply remorseful after her death, he finds a letter from his mother expressing her pride in him and love for him despite how he had treated her.
