2. GYLGF is a Non- governmental, not-for-profit-making Organization
established since 2001 and incorporated with the Corporate Affairs
Commission (CAC) in August 12, 2014.
It was formerly known as Action Research Training and Development
Centre (ARTDEC) since 2001 (not registered). The foundation is
concerned with providing result-based and enduring solutions to the
challenges faced by women, youths and the girl-child in Nigeria and
any part of the World. Some of the program: Career excursion for
adolescents, Friends and mentors,
GYLGF exists to promote Girl-Child Education, Gender Equality and
Human Rights, Adolescent Reproductive Health, Nonviolence
conciliation and Youth/Women Economic Empowerment.
We have impacted the lives of over 800 youths through our
employability self-employment skills acquisition program.
We have informally mentored over 2000 girls in secondary schools
through our interventions and 100 girls and 50 global mentors are
mentoring Nigerian high school girls.

7.  Education of the girl child to the highest level
 Equality of opportunity

the girl-child.

8.  1. To build the self-esteem, can do spirit and knowledge base of
the girl-child through capacity building programme: reproductive
health; education and career talks in schools.
 2. To empower, inform, educate and train the minds of young
people with skills that will position them for self-reliance, economic
independence and self- management.
 3. To assist the youth/women identify and build the skills that will
make them become employable and also become employers of labour.
 4. To assist the youth and the girl-child develop powerful
leadership skills through effective mentorship
 5. To use the foundation as a platform to assist the government in
formulating essential curricula, education and social policies that
would link gown to town.
 6. To imbue in young girls the necessary skills that will help them
make informed decision about their sexual and reproductive health.
 7. To enhance the ability of young girls develop career path
towards becoming successful leaders tomorrow through various career
counseling

22.  The organisation's major aim is education advocacy and empowerment of the Girl-child,
and youth empowerment.
 Since 2015, the organisation has successfully organised 6 International Conferences, We
have mentored over 2000 girls.
 3 girls are on scholarship: 2 at secondary school and one in University.
 Over 25 speakers from across the globe have attended the conferences and about 2000
Participants.
 50 girls participated in the RAGA global Mentorship Program (2019-2020), with 25
Mentors from different nationalities.
 In 2020, the organisation awarded $10,000 to a winning female led business proposal
(MOOV NIGERIA) sponsored by Rachel Chanel Clarke Globalization Program, USA.
 Cash prizes are awarded to winners of secondary schools debate, quiz, creative arts and
essay Competitions.
 The organisation has collaborated with the Amazon Company USA on "Career Encounter
Webinars" for high school girls.
 Collaboration with Eleanor Roosvelt Centre USA (Exchange Programme)

23.  A product of Aunty Ayo’s Girls’ High School, Obalende, Lagos.
 Dr. Adepeju Oti graduated with honours in French and holds a PGDE,
Master’s and Ph.D. Degrees in Sociology of Education from the
University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
 She served as a consultant with the World Bank, Abuja, on the FADAMA
II Project in 2007.
 She was the Administrative Manager and Assistant Pastor RCCG Jesus
Chancery.
 She is a Senior Lecturer at Lead City University, Ibadan, Nigeria.
 She founded the Global Youth and Girl Child Foundation (GYLGF) RC.
