profitability. It helps people understand a company’s
identity and learn why one enterprise is preferable to
another.
When creating a strategy, a business must determine
what characteristics make it unique and how that point
of differentiation can benefit customers.
 For example, a company may decide that its location
offers a higher level of convenience. As a result, its
corporate positioning focuses on customer
convenience, which includes expedited service and
complimentary parking.
Corporate positioning also works with products.
Innovation and quality are important when building a
strategy around a specific item. For instance, if a
company launches the first product of its kind, it can
state that it is the original supplier. The same holds
true for quality. A product receiving recognition for
superior quality allows a company to state that it
carries the best model or type in the market.
