TITLE
Malaysia Aboriginal Students'
Perception on Learning English
Language as Third Language
BACKGROUND
• Focusing on primary and secondary aboriginal
students in the area of Johol, Negeri
Sembilan
• Despite of all the facilities given to them,
they still find it is difficult for them to
learn English
• The research will be conducted for the
aboriginal students in a particular area in
Negeri Sembilan
• The aim of the study is to discover the
Malaysia aboriginal students' perception on
Learning English Language as Third Language
OBJECTIVE
• To find out why the aboriginal students
in the particular area find it is hard
to learn English. Is it because of
there is no chance for them to use the
language
• To examine either the English language
will affect their daily life since it
is not their second language
• To determine whether the language is
important for them or not
RESEARCH QUESTIONS
• Why the aboriginal students in that
area (Johol, Negeri Sembilan) find it
is hard to learn English?
• Does the English language will affect
their daily life since it is not their
second language?
• Do they find that the English language
is important for their future life as
the time flies?
SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY
• The perception of the students will help the
teachers who happened to teach at the aborigine
area to improve the theories and practices in
education
• For the students, this research will help them to
overcome their fear towards the language because
from the difficulties that they faced, they can
turn it into challenge to make them feel belong to
the outer-societies
• English language will make the students to know
more about their outside circle because language
is no more the barrier for them to communicate
with world either virtual or in real life
