Project :- Intellisense for CodeShell (Online Text Editor)
The aim was to provide smart autocomplete results for various programming languages,
similar to those returned by Eclipse. To achieve the goal a server (with a load balancer) was
implemented in the back-end, for returning autcomplete results to the client. The tool supports
10 different languages. (NodeJs, Coffeescript)
 Research Assistant at Center for Innovation in Building Science at IIIT- H
Project :- Early design tool for architects – WinOpt (May 2013 - ongoing)
Mentor – Dr. Vishal Garg (ongoing) Team Members – 5
The tool enables the architects to come up with the most energy efficient design for the
buildings during the early design phase. It uses GenOpt (optimization software) in the back-end
in order to perform optimized number of simulations (can reduce millions of simulations to a
few hundreds). The tool uses cluster for distributed computing and processing. Currently

 Wiki Search Engine

Made a search engine for 40 GB of wiki corpus that uses techniques of Information Retrieval
and Extraction for Indexing the corpus and retrieving the results of any query in less than 1 sec.
(C/C++, LibXML).
 Artificial Intelligence – Face Recognition Tool
Mentor – Dr. Anoop Namboodiri Team Members – 2
Made a Face Recognition tool using techniques of Principal Component Analysis for
extracting the effective features from the images that could be used for classification. It has been
tested on various datasets with output accuracies ranging from 40% to 80% depending on
training and testing data. (Matlab, Python).
 Speech Extractor - Signal Processing
Mentor – Dr. Kishore S. Prahallad Team Members – 2
Did a project on separation of speech from music mixed signals using techniques of Robust
Principal Component Analysis and matrix factorization. (Matlab)

2.  Networking in C – Small Scale DC++

Made a Socket Program in C using TCP and UDP protocols. It supports server-client
relationship and works like small scale DC for uploading and downloading files.
 Restaurant Application - DigiResta

Made a small Restaurant App – DigiResta for Android users, through which they can place their
orders to various nearby restaurants and also track the location of the delivery boys by using
GPS and Data Network facilities. (Eclipse, Java)
Mini Projects:
• Code Pair :- Built a simple collaborative Code editing tool (like Google Docs), using which
multiple users can simultaneously edit/view/compile/execute their code.
• Ontology Visualization Tool :- The tool enables the users to study the ontological relationships
among various entities, by providing them with an interactive graphical visualization.
• DoMyWork :- Built an Android task sharing app.
• Robo-Run (3D game in OpenGl) :- Built a 3D game using OpenGl with a well defined world,
a player robot, enemy robots with artificial intelligence and various difficulty levels. (OpenGl)
• Graphics Api :- similar to OpenGl :- Developed a Graphics API (like OpenGl) that supports
Graphics pipeline functions from modeling, viewing to view-port clipping. (OpenGl).
• Robo Bomb Diffuse Game :- Made a simple 2D game using Curses library of Python.
Achievements:
 Enlisted in the Dean's List for excellence in Academic performance for 4th semester.
 Qualified for ACM-ICPC ( International Collegiate Programming Contest ) regionals. (ranks
Amritapuri online 110/1800, Amritapuri onsite 230/400).
 Secured All India rank of 3912 in IIT-JEE Entrance Examination.
 Secured an All India rank of 1060 and a state rank of 49 in AIEEE.
