Master of Science, Computer Science GPA: 3.87/4.00
Thapar University, Punjab, India Aug, 2007 – Jun, 2011
Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science GPA: 9.75/10.00
PROJECTS
Fault Tolerant Failure Detector using Gossip Multicast
 ~1000 line multi-threaded C program to detect failed nodes on a distributed system in fault tolerant manner.
 Highly fault tolerant against packet loss and node failure. Low communication overhead, latency and fast spread.
Intelligent Search
 Map Reduce job over Hadoop to categorize large corpus (~100,000 documents) into ‘topics’ for topic-based search.
 Implemented in Amazon EC2 using Mallet tool’s Parallel Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) model.
Event Pattern Matching over Graphs
 ~800 lines of Java code to solve subgraph isomorphism. Efficient use of Java collections to improve performance.
PATENTS & PUBLICATIONS
 (US 20150039681) Flow Control Enhancements for Content Centric Networking, COMSNETS ’15.
 (US 20160020887) Fast Interest Recovery in Content Centric Networking under Lossy Environment, IEEE CCNC ‘15.
 The Hyperdyadic Index and Generalized Indexing and Query with PIQUE, SSDBM ‘15, UCSD.
HONORS & AWARDS
 Teaching Assistant (Fall 2015): Internet Protocols (IP), Department of Computer Science, NC State University.
 Samsung Best Paper Merit Award (Oct 2013): Paper selected among 900 submissions from global R&D centers.
 Employee of the month (Oct 2013): Proposed an A-grade patentable idea for content delivery in CCN.
