The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) is a cultural institution in San Francisco that was founded in 1993. YBCA uses exhibitions, performances, films and other programs to generate culture that moves people and supports social change. It believes that arts institutions have a responsibility to support social movements. Some of YBCA's programs include fellowships for creative citizens, youth arts education, and partnerships with community organizations. YBCA also hosts an annual summit that brings together 100 influential cultural figures to discuss questions shaping the future of culture.

It is composed of minerals from broken down rock, organic matter from dead plants and animals, air, and water. The solid components are classified by particle size as sand, silt, or clay. Humus, or organic matter, is formed through the decay of dead plant and animal matter by decomposers like bacteria, fungi, earthworms, and other invertebrates. Together, these components support plant growth and life in the soil.

However, in the minds of many Taiwanese, there’s a stereotype that the ”Creative Expo Taiwan” is for hipsters, and it’s hard for other people to understand. The intensive use of academic terms is like a wall blocking out ordinary people. What if we could turn the wall of intellectualism into a bridge of communication? We would be able to break the stereotypical linkage between Creative Expo Taiwan and hipsters, so more people would feel free to join in.

Conversations About Cinema is a partnership between Watershed cinema in Bristol and Bristol University that screens films and facilitates discussions to promote audience engagement. It began in 2014 and has expanded its impact. For example, a screening of Au Revoir Les Enfants in 2015 had high attendance of 386 people over 6 sold-out screenings. ConvoCinema is now a larger project screening films on the theme of "Impact of Conflict" across multiple independent cinemas in the UK from January to July 2015, and facilitating discussions online and in person to capture the impact of these cultural film experiences. The project aims to strengthen regional film culture and audiences while sharing learnings with the film industry.

- 1. We develop young people’s creativity and curiosity in film and digital both as artists and audiences of the future. 2014: 11,000 young people in our audiences and nearly 4,000 under 25s participated in targeted projects/events.

To get genuine Insights you need to construct activities that allow young people to make real world choices. Document this process and you have robust insights that give a genuine look at how young people are thinking, behaving and interacting.
- 12. Out of this consultation was born Rife magazine an online magazine for young people, created by young people. Covering film, music, art, culture, social issues and politics, Rife is everywhere covering everything Bristol has to offer its young people through all their favourite channels.
- 13. Rife magazine was launched in June 2014. In the last quarter (Oct – Dec 2014) we had 26,377 visits, 19,806 users and 45,894 page views. This compares with Go Places Do Things 2,460 visits 1,902 users and 7,826 page views in the same period the previous year
