A/B Testing for New Product Launches by Booking.com Sr PMProduct School
The document discusses A/B testing techniques for validating new product launches. It begins by defining A/B testing as showing two or more versions of a product to different random user groups to determine a winning variant. For new products, the document recommends first gathering qualitative feedback through methods like focus groups before establishing a minimum viable product (MVP) baseline and using A/B tests with non-inferiority metrics. It then suggests iteratively testing other features against the MVP through A/B tests and establishing a holdout group for long-term comparison to determine the winning variant ready for full launch. Other validation methods like focus groups, support staff feedback, and limited beta testing are also outlined.
A/B Testing for New Product Launches by Booking.com Sr PMProduct School
This document discusses A/B testing strategies for new product launches. It begins by explaining what A/B testing is and why companies use it. For new products, qualitative data is more important than quantitative data in the early stages. A minimum viable product (MVP) should be launched to create a foundation for A/B testing. Iterative testing can introduce other features to determine the winning variant, and holdouts can measure long-term success. Other validation methods like focus groups and beta testing are also discussed. The key is to qualify feedback before extensive A/B testing and measure performance over the long run.
Quality control is a process to review production and ensure it meets standards of dependability, acceptability, and fiscal responsibility. It identifies products that don't meet standards. Establishing a quality control program involves documenting existing processes, identifying objectives, and establishing policies and procedures. Quality control tools include standard operating procedures, process maps, checklists, and reporting systems. Measuring success includes metrics like error rates and costs. Total quality management, Six Sigma, and ISO 9000 standards can be applied to quality control programs.

The goal is to develop a hypothesis-driven growth strategy that maximizes revenue by optimizing resources towards the highest ROI growth levers.
This document discusses how to avoid "analysis paralysis" when working with website analytics data. It provides tips for getting organized, focusing on actionable metrics, and testing changes. The key recommendations are to clearly define goals and key performance indicators, configure custom reports, use advanced segments and event tracking, focus on actionable metrics like bounce rate and conversion rate, and regularly test changes through A/B testing to improve performance.
"How we killed 80% of features and increased outcomes of a/b testing by 100%"...Fwdays
In this talk, I’ll share our experience at Preply on how we approach the challenge of “Extracting the maximum business value, by keeping the product as simple as possible?”
We run more than 100 A/B tests simultaneously, meaning that there are no 2 users on the whole internet who would see the same version of Preply. I’ll share our vision on product development as well as technical details and challenges we faced during fostering and adopting the A/B testing culture at Preply. Among other topics I’ll cover:
How to build an A/B testing system and product that will handle more than 100 A/B tests simultaneously?
Can the A/B testing hurt the business?
Hidden costs of running a/b tests
Does it make sense to a/b test technical changes and refactorings?
How A/B testing can protect you from losing several million $ on a simple library update?
1) A/B testing is a technique that tests two versions of a digital component, varying one element to measure its impact on a goal like conversion rate.
2) To implement A/B testing, companies identify optimization opportunities, develop hypotheses for variants, design tests, and interpret statistically significant results.
3) To efficiently run many A/B tests, companies adapt their organization with a testing charter and document lessons learned, while choosing dedicated SaaS or integrated marketing tools.

Introduction of Cybersecurity with OSS at Code Europe 2024Hiroshi SHIBATA
I develop the Ruby programming language, RubyGems, and Bundler, which are package managers for Ruby. Today, I will introduce how to enhance the security of your application using open-source software (OSS) examples from Ruby and RubyGems.
The first topic is CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures). I have published CVEs many times. But what exactly is a CVE? I'll provide a basic understanding of CVEs and explain how to detect and handle vulnerabilities in OSS.
Next, let's discuss package managers. Package managers play a critical role in the OSS ecosystem. I'll explain how to manage library dependencies in your application.
I'll share insights into how the Ruby and RubyGems core team works to keep our ecosystem safe. By the end of this talk, you'll have a better understanding of how to safeguard your code.

Chris Jones, Director of Product Management at BrainChip , presents the “Temporal Event Neural Networks: A More Efficient Alternative to the Transformer” tutorial at the May 2024 Embedded Vision Summit.
The expansion of AI services necessitates enhanced computational capabilities on edge devices. Temporal Event Neural Networks (TENNs), developed by BrainChip, represent a novel and highly efficient state-space network. TENNs demonstrate exceptional proficiency in handling multi-dimensional streaming data, facilitating advancements in object detection, action recognition, speech enhancement and language model/sequence generation. Through the utilization of polynomial-based continuous convolutions, TENNs streamline models, expedite training processes and significantly diminish memory requirements, achieving notable reductions of up to 50x in parameters and 5,000x in energy consumption compared to prevailing methodologies like transformers.
Integration with BrainChip’s Akida neuromorphic hardware IP further enhances TENNs’ capabilities, enabling the realization of highly capable, portable and passively cooled edge devices. This presentation delves into the technical innovations underlying TENNs, presents real-world benchmarks, and elucidates how this cutting-edge approach is positioned to revolutionize edge AI across diverse applications.
