Aaron Burr (1756-1836) was an American politician who served as Vice President under Thomas Jefferson. He graduated from Princeton at age 16 and studied theology and law. Burr fought bravely in the Revolutionary War but later killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel in 1804. Burr had a prominent political career but also faced many personal obstacles like losing both parents at a young age and his wife to cancer. He died of a stroke at age 80 in Staten Island, New York.
