2. Aarohi Life Education
is a learning center that provides
a space, an environment, an acceptance, a belief, a soil
for the child to grow into a unique being.
We envisage children to grow naturally into empowered
beings who can think, lead and enjoy their own life.
3. Aarohi Belief
We don’t
need to fit
a child into
a system;
We need a
system
that builds
itself
around the
child
4. Aarohi
Philosophy
• ACCEPT the child the way he / she is.
• RESPECT the child - his or her choices, struggle, decisions,
doing, success, failure, results, etc.
• LEARNING – is natural to children
• SELF – Children want to learn and can figure out how to learn.
• MEANINGFUL - Children learn best when they are excited to
learn for their own reasons.
5. Aarohi in practice
• Child chooses what to
learn when – set goals
• Child chooses how to
learn – Projects,
activities, experiences,
books, internet, peers,
experts, visits, etc.
• Child chooses how much
to learn – define scope
6. Aarohi Curriculum
Curriculum is not divided by classes or ages or subject
At Aarohi:
• All learning from
across disciplines,
across levels, is
available to
children,
all the time.
• So children
explore without
any boundaries.
7. Aarohi all
together
• Children work, learn,
all together – no age
groups
• Child teaches child –
anyone can learn from
anyone
Faculty and Parents
• Create opportunities for children
• Resource provider – people, self, books, etc.
• Interact with the child to empower, expand and enhance
his or her learning experiences
8. Assessment at Aarohi
•Faculty do not assess – child
assess herself on learning
process.
•No assessment on contents
•Reflection on process – each
session, daily, weekly, quarterly
•Locus of control is inside the child
9. Aarohi Dream
Create an open environment where
• Children take ownership of their
learning, of their life.
• Children work towards making
their own dreams come true.

Editor's Notes
*
* We are not working out of a method or approach – we are working out of understanding of the child and this is dynamic. This is where the Aarohi is around the child, not around a method.

* You are looking at a school which does not get bound by the curriculum - but encourages child to explore without boundaries. For example why all 7yrs should learn only that much ? Or all 7yrs old should know that much ?
