  7. Adam To speak about some of our customers, we provide monitoring for companies like HSBC, Boeing and Johnson Controls. However the size of the company does not matter, what matters is how critical the messaging or SharePoint environment is.
  8. Adam We hear a lot of different challenges from our customers that have SharePoint. Often SharePoint is deployed in an environment and its not treated as a critical platform. From there it evolves and it can quickly become a nightmare for administrators if you donā€™t take control of your environment early on. It is important to measure and continuously monitor the end-user experienceā€¦If your users are anything like me, I have no patience for slow page load times or slow document uploadsā€¦it is important to be notified about these latency issues before your users complain and stop using SharePoint. SharePoint can evolve very quickly without any notice because it is user driven. You need to have visibility and control over the environment in order to scale your resources and capacity. Proactively Monitoring your environment allows you to quickly identify the root cause of issues before your help desk is swamped with end-user complaints. A SharePoint farm can have hundreds of sitesā€¦Monitoring at the site level can be very challenging without the proper tool. It is important to monitor your environment so that you can quickly provide management with reports on Availability, Performance & Usage. Without a tool to provide reports, this task can be time consuming and nearly impossible without the data collection.

  10. Adam As everyone in this webinar probably already knows SharePoint has evolved into a very critical product! One of the more popular uses for SharePoint is of course as a document repository but more and more we see our customers using it for much more. With the increased usage, it is no longer just a ā€œnice to haveā€ program but now a business critical application. This requires SharePoint to be monitored for availability, performance, end user satisfaction and usage. Proactively monitoring SharePoint can be a challenge, and outages/performance issues are no longer acceptable.
